Meet Pastor Alex
I grew up in a small town in Indiana with my parents and my sister. Every Sunday was a day that we would get up and go to church. When I was in 5th grade, I remember hearing a message of redemption and the love of Christ from a visiting missionary, and in those moments, I realized I didn’t have to try to live life on my own – I could live my life with Christ. Even though I was young, it was so clear I could have new life in Christ. Since that moment, I have learned so much more about Christ, and now I am a mess without him! There have been many times in my life when I have tried to do things on my own only to experience some level of failure, but with Christ, I am always able to come out of a situation stronger.
I remember when we were approached about starting a new church, and I thought that this is not us, and that they could just move on to the next pastor. Then God began to move in our lives, and we began to feel that this was what we were supposed to do. My mind and heart started to change, drawn to start a new church where our goal everyday would be to help people encounter God in new and fresh ways.
I believe we are all seeking something greater than ourselves. We have a God who is always in pursuit of us. My hope and prayer is that The Branches Community Church will be a refuge to help people meet Christ in a new way, experience love, grace, and peace in their lives, and gain a purpose that will leave a lasting legacy on this earth, because we have all learned how to love the love of Christ.
